Week 23

If you didn't take the Dante Midterm in Week 18, you might try it now, again for honors/extra credit.

You may use your extra time this week to catch up on any reading and narration from the previous weeks, but mostly you should put some effort into producing writing that will become your thesis draft. This will be the last week to do serious research, so if you do not have at least three outside sources already, that would be a goal.

Day 116:

  1. Read and narrate one outside source for your thesis, citing the source.

  2. Write for 20 minutes on some aspect of your topic.

  3. Make sure you link to your work in your narration document.

Day 117:

  1. Read and narrate one outside source for your thesis, citing the source.

  2. Write for 20 minutes on some aspect of your topic.

  3. Make sure you link to your work in your narration document.

Day 118:

  1. Read and narrate one outside source for your thesis, citing the source.

  2. Write for 20 minutes on some aspect of your topic.

  3. Make sure you link to your work in your narration document.

Day 119:

  1. Read and narrate one outside source for your thesis, citing the source.

  2. Write for 20 minutes on some aspect of your topic.

  3. Make sure you link to your work in your narration document.

Day 120:

  1. Read and narrate one outside source for your thesis, citing the source.

  2. Write for 20 minutes on some aspect of your topic.

  3. Make sure you link to your work in your narration document.

TERM 3: WEEKS 25-36

Note that you will present your Senior Thesis orally sometime in Week 30. It will be up to you to schedule a time with Dad and me, and to decide whether you would like for anyone else to attend your presentation.

After your oral presentation, you will have time to revise and polish your written thesis to turn in at the end of the semester. I think the workbook has you turning in your paper first, but it makes sense to me to allow time to revise following the oral presentation and the feedback you receive there.

If you continue to do excellent work in the last twelve weeks of this year, committing yourself to writing as much as possible (especially including details) in your narrations, then you will be exempt from essay exams in Weeks 30 and 36 and will be approved for graduation on Day 175. If you neglect your work in this final term, then you will be required to write essay exams in order to graduate.
