BEN'S NARRATION DOCUMENT

RACHEL'S NARRATION DOCUMENT

Be sure to tell me your thesis topic at the start of this week. It can be pretty broad at this stage, but you need to have an idea of the direction your research will take, even if you don't know what you want to say about it yet.

Even as you have assignments in your thesis workbook, you will be doing independent research for a while, which will help you to have a clearer picture of what you might say about it.

    4. This represents a turning point, when work on your thesis begins to be less experimental and more serious. You will be clarifying your project for yourself and for me as your director.

Note that Week 6 WILL be an essay week. Each day you will have a question related to the reading you have been doing. You may wish to look back over your narrations, beginning now, to remind yourself of thoughts you have had about these readings and things you might say. Each essay will be 300-500 words in length, or one to two pages. PLAN NOW to have things to say about everything you have read so far.
